Preparing your 'Create Your Own' image for uploading

What size image do I need to upload?

Our minimum image size is: 
Landscape Format 2000 x 1500 pixels (WxH). 
Portait Format 1500 x 2000 pixels (WxH). 
Square Format 1500 x 1500 pixels. 

Please always refer to your original image to check the quality and sharpness. Please note, simply enlarging a small image to our minimum image size will unfortunately only produce an inferior, low quality and low resolution print. If in any doubt, please check out our blog or email the file to our image doctor who will take a look for you.

What file types do you accept?

We can process the following file types - JPG, TIFF and PSD.

How much of my image will bleed around the turned edges?

Your image will bleed around the turned edges by about 5mm. This makes the edge of the print look really smooth. However, please make sure you allow for this by not cropping your image too tight.


Is my payment on your website secure?
Yes, absolutely. We confirm that all payments on our website are secure and encrypted. Please see our SSL certificate by clicking the padlock icon to the left side of our URL MetalPrintMaker.com
How do I open an account?
You’ll get the option to create an account when making your first purchase, making it much easier for future purchases. This isn’t mandatory as you can simply checkout as a Guest if you prefer. When opening an account please fill in the required information: username, e-mail address, first and last name, and then set a password.

Is my personal information safe?
MetalPrintMaker.com respects your privacy and our database of users is protected by law. Your personal data is protected and secured from unauthorised access. Be assured that we never sell our customer's personal information. You can access our Privacy Policy here.
I forgot my password. How do I log in?
Just go to the login page and click 'Forgot my password'. We will send you a email with a reset link to follow. Please check your junk/spam folder if this doesn’t arrive within 15 mins.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, Maestor or via PayPal, Google Pay, Shop Pay or Apple Pay. Payments are made in GBP. Your bank will convert the amount to your local currency at its rate of exchange.
I didn’t receive my confirmation email?
Once you place an order, we’ll send you a confirmation email to the email address you used to place it. If you can't locate your order confirmation, please check your email junk/spam folder just in case it’s been sent there by mistake!
How to use a discount code?
Simply enter the code in the box located below the order details at the cart, but please do make sure you enter the code before checking out as unfortunately we can’t refund the difference or process the discount once an order is proceeded. We regret that discount codes can’t be used in conjunction with any other discount code, offer or promotion.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order within the first 24 hours after placing it prior to dispatch.  Beyond this point, unfortunately custom/bespoke orders using our ‘Create Your Own’ service can’t be cancelled as your custom image is printed and proceeding through the production process.   Once received, all other standard (ie. non-custom/bespoke made) product orders can be returned for a refund within 30 days of purchase.
After I cancel my order, when will I receive a refund?
Your refund will be confirmed by email and the payment refunded back to your original payment method only. Refunds will show on your bank statement within 7-14 days of cancellation.
Will there be a customs fee added to my order?
This really depends on your destination as additional duty fees may apply in some territories according to the country's specific regulations. Any customs duties raised must be paid locally by the buyer.
Why has my payment card been declined?
Firstly, we recommend contacting your bank to explain the type of transaction you are trying to process as they may have restrictions on foreign payments. If you don't think it is a bank issue, please contact our Customer Services here.

Instafix Wall Magnet Mounting System
Instafix is our unique and instant wall mounting solution, specifically designed for metal prints. Full instructions can be discovered here.
Can I mount my Metal Print outside?
Our Metal Prints are intended for internal use only as they could fade over time if positioned in direct sunlight if used externally. However, being made of coated galvanised steel they’re made to withstand corrosion and are very durable outside but will deteriorate over time. We recommend using physical fixings to attach the Instafix magnet if used externally.
Can I mount my Metal Print on a stone or brick surface?
Unfortunately Instafix is only designed for smooth walls and will not adhere to rough or uneven surfaces.

For such applications we recommend drilling or punching the Instafix magnet with a hole so it can be screwed or nailed to the wall.
Is the Instafix mounting solution included in the price?
Yes, absolutely! Each metal print is supplied with our unique instant wall mounting solution - Instafix. All our metal print sizes only require just a single Instafix magnet.
Does Instafix work on wallpaper?
We only recommend using Instafix on smooth, flat wall surfaces. If you do use Instafix on wallpaper, please be aware that it may be difficult to remove without damage.
How do I remove the magnet from my wall?
To remove your Instafix magnet, simply support the magnet with one hand whilst pulling the tab close to the wall surface until the adhesive strip releases. Then, simply repeat for the second strip. You can view our instruction videos here.
Will Instafix damage my wall when I remove it?
Instafix has been specifically developed to enable instant mounting of Metal Prints without the need for physical fixings, such as nails and screws.

Please follow the removal instructions to release the adhesive strips correctly as they’re designed to minimise the risk of damage. In most situations Instafix will remove cleanly without damage. However, the final outcome really depends on the condition of wall surface itself.
Can I use physical fixings such as nails or screws?
We recommend using the supplied Instafix magnet to mount your print as this is quick and easy, plus simple to remove without the need to nail or drill holes in your wall.

Nevertheless, the Instafix magnet can be drilled or punched with a hole so it can be screwed or nailed to the wall.
Can I mount my Metal Print in a bathroom?
Our Metal Prints are made of coated galvanised steel which protects them from rusting. We do not recommend you mount them in very humid environments. The Instafix magnet adhesive is designed to be used on dry smooth walls only.
Can I mount my Metal Print on a sloping wall or ceiling?
We really do not recommend such applications! Whilst the Instafix magnet is very strong it has been designed to mount Metal Prints on vertical walls only.
Is it possible to purchase additional Instafix magnets?
Yes, you can order replacement magnet here.


What countries do you ship to?
We ship to Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA.
How can I check the status of my order?
Please allow up to 14 days for us to confirm dispatch. You will be sent notifications and tracking information once production is finished and shipping is in progress. If you do not receive any notifications, please check your junk/spam folder first before contacting Customer Services here. After you receive the dispatch notification, UK shipments are then normally delivered within 2/3 days. EU shipments, 5/10 days. Worldwide shipments, 7/15 days depending on your location and customs protocols.
What should I do if my Metal Print arrives damaged?
If your package is visibly damaged, please check the print and refuse delivery if you can. If that’s not possible and you discover the damage after delivery, please contact Customer Services here quoting the order number and using the email address used to place the order.   

Please attach some photos to the email showing the packaging and print damage. Rest assured that we’ll do everything possible to replace the order as quick as humanly possible!   

Regrettably shipping companies do occasionally damage items which we realise is very frustrating and disappointing. Please be assured that we share your pain!
What are the shipping costs?
All our shipping costs are calculated at the checkout on the total weight of the order package plus the destination country and fuel fee surcharge.   

We use the following shipping companies depending on the country of shipment:  DHL, UPS, Fedex and Parcelforce
Do you deliver to PO BOX or mail box addresses?
Unfortunately most of the shipping companies we use may have restrictions on PO Box and mail box delivery addresses.  To avoid possible delays and delivery complications please use a regular address when placing an order.  Please contact Customer Services here if you’ve already placed an order with a PO Box address and are having problems.
Do you offer an expedited/express shipping option?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer an expedited service. However, please be assured that we always do our best make and ship your custom metal print order as speedily as possible.
Can I return a custom-made metal print?
Unfortunately, once ordered, custom metal prints are printed especially for you and as a result can’t be exchanged or returned for a refund.

Gift Cards

Are Gift Cards redeemable on all print sizes available on MetalPrintMaker.com?
Yes absolutely. Our Gift cards are available in all size and format options here.
How will I receive a Gift Card?
Gift Cards are sent direct to the recipient's email address provided when placing your order.
How long a Gift Card is valid for?
All our Gift Cards are valid for one year from its original issue date.
Can I get a refund on an unused Gift Card if I have a change of mind?
We will issue a full refund on unused Gift Cards to the purchaser using the original method of payment only, within 30 days of purchase if you change your mind.
Can you reissue a lost Gift Card?
If you loose or do not receive your Gift Card please contact customer services. We can only transmit Gift Cards to the email address used to place the Gift Card order. 

Please be sure to double check your email address (and the recipient's email) when placing a Gift Card order.
Will you refund a part used Gift Card?
No. The balance on part used Gift Cards unfortunately can’t be refunded. However, if there is still a balance remaining on the Gift Card this can be put towards any future purchases if valid.
Can gift cards be used in conjunction with a discount code?
Yes, gift cards are a form of payment.
Is it possible to pay for a Gift Card with another MetalPrintMaker.com Gift Card?
No. Unfortunately Gift Cards can’t be used to purchase other MetalPrintMaker.com Gift Cards.
Can a gift card be used more than once?
Yes, provided there is still a balance remaining on the card.
Can more than one gift card be used towards a purchase?
Yes. A customer can redeem another gift card during checkout.
Can a gift card be used to pay for shipping and taxes?
Yes, gift cards are applied to the final order total which includes shipping and taxes.
